Dr. Dutta has several years of professional and research experience in
the fields enterprise IT infrastructure. Dr. Dutta has published
articles in INFORMS Management Science, INFORMS Journal of Computing,
ACM Transactions on Database Systems, European Journal of Operations
Research, INFORMS Journal of Group Decision and Negotiation, IEEE
Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics, ACM Transactions on
Storage, Journal of Database Management, VLDB Journal and IEEE
Transactions in Mobile Computing. Dr. Dutta also has several
publications in various IEEE and ACM conference proceedings. He has
received awards for conference papers and academic performances. Dr.
Dutta has received several college-wide research award at FIU. Dr. Dutta
is the Area Editor (Database and Data Management) for Elsevier Journal
of Systems and Software.
Prior to joining FIU, Dr. Dutta was Director of Engineering for Chutney
Technologies, funded by KPCB Venture Capital, that developed solutions
to improve the scalability and performance of enterprise web
applications. Dr. Dutta has almost a decade of experience in software
product development in India, Europe and the U.S. Dr. Dutta worked as a
senior software engineer for Intarka Inc, an NEA funded company, and
Wipro Ltd.
