PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES

Dr. Chris Changhwa Chung’s research interests are in international joint venture evolution, foreign subsidiary management, and real options during times of uncertainty. His dissertation won the Barry Richman Best Dissertation Award (Academy of Management), the Gunnar Hedlund Best Dissertation Award (European International Business Academy), and the Udayan Rege Best Dissertation Award (Administrative Science Association of Canada). Dr. Chung has published and presented papers in the Management International Review, Journal of Management Studies, and Journal of International Management, as well as at conferences sponsored by the Academy of Management, Academy of International Business, European International Business Academy, and Administrative Sciences Association of Canada.

In the private sector, Dr. Chung worked for multinational corporations in cross-border mergers and acquisitions and international joint ventures. His case study on General Motors Defense, a division of General Motors, has appeared in several strategic management textbooks. He is currently a member of the Academy of Management, Academy of International Business, European International Business Academy, and Administrative Sciences Association of Canada.
