PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES
The general area of Dr. Barua’s research is financial reporting issues and interactions of those issues with capital markets. His research has been published in the Journal of Business Finance and Accounting.
Dr. Barua has three years of academic experience as a full-time faculty member in leading business schools of Bangladesh, where he taught financial and managerial accounting courses at the graduate and undergraduate level. During his PhD study at LSU, he taught financial accounting courses for undergraduate students.
Before joining academia, he worked for Procter & Gamble (P&G) for two years where he gathered first-hand experiences in different areas of financial and managerial accounting.
