Professional ActivitiesDr. VanderMeer´s research interests focus on applying concepts developed in Computer Science and Information Systems to solve real-world problems. She is widely published in well-known journals, such as Management Science, ACM Transactions on Database Systems and IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering, as well as prestigious conference proceedings, including the International Conference on Data Engineering, International Conference on Distributed Computing Systems and the Very Large Database Conference. She also has significant professional experience in the software industry. She has served in engineering and managerial roles in large companies, as well as early-stage venture-funded software enterprises. |
