Advisors are here to assist in the development of meaningful educational plans that are compatible with your life goals. They will show you how to take ownership of your education in order to be successful in your academic career. The basic goals of advising embrace:
- Providing accurate and customized academic information.
- Educating students on how to plan effectively.
- Helping identify goals and develop education plans to reach them.
- Interpreting and assuring adherence to CBA academic policies and procedures.
- Consulting with students experiencing academic difficulty and assisting in identifying reasons for problems and possible solutions.
- Helping you understand degree requirements, choosing a major or minor, course selection and schedule planning.
- Answering questions about double majoring and study abroad.
